What should I wear?

Wear something that reflects how you want to be perceived professionally.

For most clients, solid colors, tailored fits, and simple layers photograph best. Avoid busy patterns, logos, and distracting textures. If you’re unsure, bring options. We’ll choose what works best on camera.

For professional brand and executive sessions, wardrobe guidance is provided in advance.

I’m not photogenic. Can you help with posing?

Yes. That’s literally the job.

Most people feel awkward in front of a camera because no one tells them what to do. Every session includes clear, natural posing and expression guidance so you don’t have to guess. You don’t need modeling experience. You just need to show up.

How long does a session take?

Corporate Profile Sessions: 15–20 minutes
Professional Brand Sessions: About 60 minutes
Executive Identity Sessions: About 90 minutes

Sessions are efficient, structured, and designed to respect your time without rushing results.

How many images will I receive?

That depends on your session type:

Corporate Profile Sessions: 1–2 fully retouched images
Professional Brand Sessions: 8–12 fully retouched images
Executive Identity Sessions: 15–20 fully retouched images

Additional retouched images are available for purchase.

How quickly will I receive my photos?

Proof galleries are typically delivered within 48 hours. Final retouched images are delivered within 3–5 business days after selections are made. Rush delivery is available upon request.

Do you offer studio and on-location sessions?

Yes. Sessions can take place in my Center City Philadelphia studio or on location at your office, workplace, or other environment that fits your brand. Many clients combine both studio and environmental looks in a single session.

Do you photograph teams and corporate groups?

Yes. I regularly work with law firms, medical practices, startups, and corporate teams for consistent staff portraits and branding images. On-site team sessions and volume bookings are available. Contact me for custom quotes for teams of five or more.

Can I use my images for commercial or business purposes?

Yes. All professional sessions include business and promotional usage rights for websites, LinkedIn, press, marketing materials, and internal use. Extended commercial licensing is available for advertising campaigns upon request.

Do you retouch the photos?

Yes. All final images include professional retouching focused on natural skin tones, consistent color, and clean presentation. Retouching is subtle and realistic. You’ll still look like yourself. Just well-rested and properly lit.

What if I hate being photographed?

That’s most people. Seriously.

Sessions are calm, efficient, and guided. You’re never left wondering what to do or how you look. If you’ve had bad experiences in the past, this will not feel like those.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

Life happens. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule. Late cancellations may be subject to a rescheduling fee, depending on session type.

Do you offer hair and makeup?

Professional hair and makeup services can be added to Professional Brand and Executive sessions. This is optional but recommended for clients who want a polished, camera-ready look.

How do I book?

You can book directly through the online scheduling system or contact me for team sessions and custom projects.

Where are you located?

Descano Photography is based in a private studio in Center City Philadelphia. On-location sessions are available throughout Philadelphia, the Main Line, South Jersey, and Delaware.
