I met Scott a few years ago when we were working on a film together that was shooting in Philadelphia. I remember him being funny then, and he’s even funnier now. You might recognize him from Sex and the City where he guest starred in an episode. Anyway he stopped in today to update his head shots. Liz initially came to me in need of photos for her law practice. She has since scheduled and shot with me a whopping 3 more times and is scheduled for another. Liz now has the distinction of being the most shot individual in Descano Photography history. For one to dethrone her at this point would truly be a staggering feat. Attorney, dog rescuer, and all-around great person she deserves the best photos I can produce now and in the future. I love shooting her, and each time we get better photos than the previous ones, it’s pretty sweet.

This past week I shot Ghanim, a senior at Drexel University studying engineering. He was scouted recently and needed to get some test shots done. This was his first time shooting professionally as his home country of Qatar doesn’t offer many opportunities in the fashion world.

After speaking with him about unrelated things to the industry I got the sense that this guy was really put together. Intelligent, bi-lingual, and could wear a suit with the best of them. After our shoot we spoke about which agencies he needed to get in front of immediately. If he decides to stay in the U.S. after he graduates his future in print work could put his engineering plans on hold. Can’t wait to visit Doha, maybe for World Cup 2022!

Brooks was a high schooler who was looking to get serious about acting professionally around the Philadelphia metropolitan area and beyond. For all intents and purposes this was his first real shoot. While he was changing into his first outfit his mother told me she was a professional dancer in NYC in the past and she was very particular about who was going to do Brooks’ head shots. Needless to say he absorbed all of the direction I gave him and he knocked it out of the park. I’d bet my life he’ll be signed by an agent in the next month or two. He’s still got a bit of growing to do, but I wouldn’t be surprised if he also starts booking some commercial print jobs in the next few years if he stays on course. Killed it!
